The Driskill Events team was looking to create branding specific to weddings and non-corporate events that would reflect the rich history of the space while bringing in some feminine and softer elements. I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with an Austin institution such as The Driskill.
The architecture, textures, and beautiful surroundings of the hotel provide ample inspiration. The quatrefoil shape which is repeated in fixtures, marble floors, and moldings really caught my eye.
After creating a mood board and discussing ideas for direction from the client, several first drafts were presented. The final logo which was chosen – a floral engraving motif centered around the Driskill branding inside the quatrefoil – is romantic, sophisticated, and timeless.
